To find out more about applying, please read the University of Calgary Calendar.

Required subjects

All applicants must present the following five high school subjects (or their equivalents):

  • English Language Arts (ELA) 30-1
  • Chemistry 30
  • Physics 30
  • Pure Math 30
  • Math 31 (Calculus)

High school course equivalents for Canadian high school students outside Alberta and international students.

Students who have never taken Mathematics 31 can present another academic matriculation subject from the approved subjects for admission list instead of Mathematics 31. View requirements. These students, after being admitted into the Schulich School of Engineering, will be required to take an alternate calculus course in the first semester. For students in this circumstance, the Engineering Student Centre will help create your schedule.
