Click on the picture to view a multimedia tour of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Download QuickTimeThe Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering in the Schulich School of Engineering was founded in 1966 and is currently home to 36 academics, 11 administrative and technical support staff, 500 undergraduate students and over 200 graduate students.

It is one of the most active and innovative mechanical engineering departments in Canada. 

Undergraduate Program
The department presently offers the following Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees in:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Manufacturing Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Mechatronics
• Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Petroleum Engineering 

Graduate Program
Master of Engineering (MEng), Master of Science (MSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees are offered at the graduate level. Both course work and a dissertation are required for the MSc and PhD programs. Those taking the MEng degree have the option of taking a course-based or a thesis-based program.

Graduate degrees are tailored to meet the interests and needs of individual students. Students should consult with a faculty advisor to plan an individualized program of study and research.
