Get Answers! Book a Schulich School of Engineering Recruitment Visit to Your High School
The Schulich School of Engineering visits Calgary high schools informing students about careers in engineering, engineering at the U of C, student life and admission requirements. Visits typically take place in calculus, physics, or chemistry Grade 12 classes, or over a lunch period. A typical visit (takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes) includes a professor, a current engineering student, and the Recruitment and Awards Officer. We are pleased to personalize or expand visits to include a design activity or specific information on a unique research topic.

  • Calgary-area teachers and counsellors may book a visit from the Schulich School of Engineering for their students during from October to March. Most often, visits occur October through December. Contact Rob Deptford at deptford [at] ucalgary [dot] ca or (403) 210-6727 to book a visit now! (The calendar fills quickly and is typically finalized in October).
  • Outside of Calgary? We also make visits to Cochrane, Airdrie, Okotoks and Springbank each year. Further away? Contact Rob Deptford at deptford [at] ucalgary [dot] ca or (403) 210-6727 and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
  • School Groups Interested in a hands-on visit with a professional engineer?
