5 quick questions

I want to become an engineer because I enjoy problem-solving and applying the knowledge I learn to the real world.

Part of getting into engineering school as a woman involves overcoming societal biases and expectations. Understanding that women are underrepresented in engineering, and involving myself in organizations that promoted women's involvement in STEM, helped me immensely.

I would advise young women considering engineering to explore beyond academics and try to learn more about clubs and initiatives at the Schulich School of Engineering! Engaging with the engineering community early on is a wonderful way to discover your interests.

Schulich Change Leaders is a great initiative working towards promoting diversity and inclusivity by supporting new students. There are many clubs such as WISE (Women in Science and Engineering) that also organize events to increase the empowerment of women!

The most fun aspect of engineering is working with others. Interacting with others in such a vibrant engineering community has made my university experience very enjoyable.
