Background

Biography

Dr. Shengnan(Nancy) Chen is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, at the University of Calgary, Canada. Her research areas are focusing on the development of unconventional tight and shale reservoirs with multistage hydraulic fractures. Dr. Chen is currently serving as the executive editor for the Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering and associate editor for Geofluids and was an associate editor for the Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering between 2014 and 2016. She holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Petroleum Engineering and oil-gas field development engineering from the China University of Petroleum and a Ph.D. degree in Petroleum Systems Engineering from the University of Regina.
