Operation Minerva

Each year, the Schulich School of Engineering hosts Operation Minerva, a day of exploration and discovery aimed at attracting more girls to careers in science, technology and engineering.

Grade-eight girls from Calgary get to spend the day with some of our school’s top female engineering professors and researchers. The students visit our leading-edge laboratories, hear about our exciting research and have some fun. They also get a first-hand look at what it’s like to be an engineer.

Operation Minerva turns 25

Operation Minerva is sponsored by the Alberta Women’s Science Network (AWSN), and in 2014, the science mentorship program will celebrate its 25th anniversary.
