While our undergraduates study classical engineering disciplines, they can also specialize in energy and environment. This specialization expands students' understanding of the direct and indirect impacts of energy-related activities on the environment. Students leave with the knowledge they need to understand, avoid and minimize these impacts.
Once graduate students enter a specific graduate program in one of our departments, they can also choose from either the environmental engineering specialization or the energy and environment specialization. These choices are available with the Master of Engineering, Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy degree programs.
Faculty members from across Schulich’s five engineering departments undertake environmental engineering research and grad student supervision. CEERE receives $16.8 million in annual research funding to collaborate on bold solutions that benefit the environment, economy and global community.
