Develop and implement novel biological methods to control emission of methane (a key GHG) from area sources and point sources, such as sanitary landfills and oil well/battery sites.

Project examples:

• Evapotranspirative landfill bio-cover (ET-LBC) to control methane emissions and leachate production at landfills accepting biodegradable organic waste
• High-rate methane biofiltration (HMBF) to control GHG emissions from oil-and-gas industry operations
