Engineering Solutions for Health

In March 2015, the University of Calgary launched its biomedical engineering research strategy – Engineering Solutions for HealthThis interdisciplinary research area involves engineering, medicine, kinesiology, veterinary medicine, science and nursing – all working together to address complex, global health-care research challenges. It identified four research themes:

  • Integrated approaches to enable prevention of injury and disease, and support healthy aging
  • Technologies for improved diagnostics
  • Engineered novel therapeutics
  • Optimized healthcare system performance
