Advising schedule
We have recently switched to a new appointment system, WaitWell. This system will open up same-day appointments as per the schedule below, opening day-of at 8:30AM MT.
How to prepare for academic advising
- Make the most of your advising and come in with questions ready.
- Write down the answers you receive from your advisor so that you don’t forget the details of your advising.
- Know your deadlines because advisors can better assist you before a deadline has passed.
- Turn your phone on silent and put it away to minimize distractions.
- Cancel your advising if you cannot make it.
- Academic review and ATP (Academic Turnaround Program)
- Change of program
- Course selections
- Course withdrawals
- Dean’s List
- GPA and academic standing
- Graduation and degree requirements
- Graduation checks and verification letters
- Taking courses at another institution
- Time conflict
- Admission into graduate school
- Admission into professional programs (dentistry, pharmacy, medicine, optometry etc.)
- Career advising (contact the Engineering Career Centre)
