Orientation
It starts with a scarf
Given out on your first day, the red, yellow, black and white scarf is a symbol you’ve joined the Schulich family. It’s also a great way to spot fellow engineers on campus.
During your degree, earn badges by participating in programs, joining clubs or attending conferences - then sew them on your scarf as a keepsake.

Say cheese
Each year the Engineering Students Society maps out a letter from the Greek alphabet and organizes hundreds of first-year students to form the shape. A rooftop photographer snaps the picture - and history is made.

What do plastic cups, coffee filters and glue have to do with engineering? Everything! During orientation you work in teams to solve a problem as part of our engineering design challenge. The clock is ticking and there’s no right answer – only your ingenuity and creativity.
Don't miss the fun! Remember to sign up for orientation.
