Program for Undergraduate Research Experience (PURE) Awards
Experience research in a laboratory. Learn how to write proposals, seek funding and undertake a research project. The PURE awards benefit students at any stage of their undergraduate studies.
NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards
Designed to nurture students' interest in engineering research, help them develop their potential for a research career, and encourage graduate studies through hands-on experience that complements their academic learning.
Schulich Undergraduate Research Program
This summer more than 100 undergraduate students will join Schulich laboratories to undertake summer research projects through our Undergraduate Research Program (URP). These projects provide experiential learning to undergraduate trainees, mentorship opportunities for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, and valuable data generation for supervising faculty members.
Biomedical Engineering Undergraduate Research Program
The Biomedical Engineering Research Program (BURP) is organized by biomedical engineering graduate students and faculty. The transdisciplinary program supports students across multiple faculties and labs across campus and equips them with the necessary skills and information to have a fun and successful summer research term.

UCalgary offers student research summer positions. In some cases you will be required to find your own funding to help pay for your salary, but internal sources can be found through the university and we can help you find external funding as well.
