Clubs and teams
The more you get involved, the more it develops you as a person and the more you learn. If you're passionate about working with tools, building stuff and competing against other schools, you should totally study engineering here.

Studying is only the beginning
Our engineering school has the most dynamic and engaging extra-curricular activities on campus. We have more than 80 engineering student clubs and teams. Access everything from machine shops and fabrication facilities to bring your ideas to life.
Join Engineers Without Borders in helping others, build homes in Mexico with Homes for Hope, perform concerts with Schulich Soundstage, design a new solar car, speed down the hill in the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan race and more.
Maker Multiplex
The Maker Multiplex (M2) was launched in 2018 to help grow the maker community on campus by expanding access to tools and training. It’s all about enhancing your learning, helping you build key technical skills and inspiring creativity in the engineering design process.
Located in a series of rooms throughout the Canadian Natural Resources Limited Engineering Complex, the M2 makerspace is open to all UCalgary students, faculty and staff.
Schulich Student Activities Fund
Each year we distribute up to $500,000 to help students enhance their engineering education. SSAF supports teams and clubs preparing for competition, student conferences, international experiences and more.
