2023 internship photo contest submission - hands-on disassembly experience

Work-integrated learning programs

All undergraduate engineering students must complete a Practical Experience Requirement (PER) as part of their studies, through our internship program and other ECC-approved work experiences.

Engineering Internship Program

Internships are designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional practice. The program is open to upper-year engineering students and offers 12 to 16 months of paid work experience, which can be completed locally or internationally. Students have the flexibility to work with a single employer, or combine consecutive shorter placements to fulfill their internship requirement.

During my 16-month internship at YYC Calgary Airport, I gained hands-on experience in engineering, design, and construction while working on major airport projects.
