Sponsor a Capstone Design Project

Sponsor a capstone design project

Inspire future engineers

In their final year of studies, all engineering students complete an immersive assignment called the Capstone Design Project. The project gives students the opportunity to put all they've learned into practice. It's also a unique chance for them to engage with the professional engineering community, working to solve challenges faced by industry or learning from mentors who are out in the field.

We are always seeking opportunities to partner with industry for student design projects. While we can accept ideas throughout the year, we will only be able to work on projects that students can begin in September and complete by early April.

Capstone Design Fair

Project sponsor

The sponsor proposes the project idea/challenge for a student design team, and mentors them throughout the year (September to April) on the project. Time commitment ranges from 2-8 hours/month.

Capstone Design Fair

Project mentor

The mentor is paired with a design team (that already has a project), and mentors them throughout the year (September to April) on the project. Time commitment ranges from 2-8 hours/month.

Capstone Design Fair

Project contributor

The individual proposes the project idea for students to work on, but is mostly hands off throughout the year (September to April). Time commitment is 1-2 hours/month, or less.
