How will I find a work term?

All ECP students will gain access to our ECP Job Board on Elevate after completing modules 1 and 2 of the online course. The ECP Job Board contains job postings that are relevant to students in the ECP program and gives you practical experience searching for the right job for you.

Job postings are specifically aimed at students looking for paid full-time summer or part-time fall/winter work in engineering-adjacent jobs.

What kind of jobs will be available?

The available jobs are strategically chosen to prepare students a broad range of experiential and practical elements. Students can also look outside our Elevate ECP Job Board for opportunities and will have support from the Engineering Career Centre to ensure compatibility.

What amount of work hours are expected?

Positions can vary from 10 to 16 weeks in length between May 1 and August 31 or a part-time job with a minimum of 350 hours between September 1 and April 30.

Practicum hours must be completed by August 31 to be considered for ECP completion for that academic year.

What does it cost?

This non-credit extra-curricular opportunity comes with support from our Engineering Career Centre and is now made available to our students at no cost.
