Maria Soledad Conejo, MSc (Eng)'14
Maria is president of EnviroTek Remediation Inc. She completed her Master of Science in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering in 2014, and leads her company in developing solutions and technologies that are transforming the way we exploit natural resources and return the environment to its natural state. She specialized in Energy and Environmental Engineering during her degree, and is focused on creating technologies and processes that are environmentally friendly solutions with the lowest possible carbon footprint.
Jianyixian (Jian) Zhu, BSc (Eng)'20
An international student from China, Jian realized she had a strong interest in masonry structures during her undergraduate degree and decided to continue her academic journey as a Master of Science in Civil Engineering studies here at UCalgary.
Bita Malekian, BSc (Eng)'18
After graduating with a mechanical engineering degree in 2018 and landing a job at an energy company, Bita joined Calgary Professional Chapter of Engineers without Borders.
Amanda Calleberg, BSc (Eng)’19
Former president of the UCalgary Petroleum and Energy Society and former leader of Canada’s only Drillbotics team, Amanda interned at ConocoPhillips Canada, Cenovus Energy and Husky Energy, and authored multiple publications.
Jiani Deng, BSc (Eng)’19
Former ESS president Jiani Deng is now working as a facilities field engineer on the Keystone XL Project. Jiani graduated from chemical engineering with a specialization in energy and environment.
