The minor in manufacturing engineering is designed to equip students with the knowledge to develop sustainable solutions and assist industries in transitioning towards more environmentally friendly modes of production.
Students pursuing this minor will develop skills in foundational industrial and manufacturing engineering techniques (production planning and control, scheduling, product and process design) as well as emerging Industry 4.0 practices (cyber-physical systems, the internet of things, cloud manufacturing, and additive manufacturing) that can be applied to a range of industrial application (discrete-part manufacturing, chemical and process industries).
This minor has boosted my mechanical engineering degree.
