Diversity is a critical driver of innovation, and leads to more robust problem‐solving and creativity in engineering design. Diversity Champions exemplify passion and commitment to diversity and inclusivity, and take action to create an environment where our unique backgrounds, experiences, and points‐of‐view are valued. Diversity Champions serve as models of excellence, and catalysts for positive change. They promote awareness, lead by example, and support those around them. The Schulich School of Engineering is committed to advancing diversity and supporting a positive learning experience for all, including female and Indigenous students. The Diversity Champions in Engineering scholarships are provided to students entering their first year of study at the Schulich School of Engineering, who are committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in engineering. These awards are intended to increase the participation and inclusion of under‐ represented groups in engineering, and support student success. Eligibility: All students applying for admission to engineering programs at the Schulich School of Engineering, and especially students coming from underrepresented groups such as women and non-binary, LGBTQI2S+, BIPOC, students with disability and Indigenous students, are eligible to apply for the Diversity Champions in Engineering award. Each award is valued at $4,000.

If you are selected for a Diversity Champions in Engineering award, you will be notified in February.
