Accepting your internship offer & next steps
Accepting your offer
Congratulations! After a successful search you’ve received a job offer. There are just a few more steps to set up your internship.
Review your job offer
Carefully review any documents to ensure you understand the conditions of the job before you accept. We ask employers to give you at least 48 hours to make your decision.
Tell the Internship Office
Once you have accepted a job offer, you must notify the Engineering Internship Program at email@example.com and immediately withdraw from any other interviews you have pending.
Complete your paperwork
If you are an international student, ensure you have your co-op/internship work permit in place. All students should review all other paperwork needs before beginning an internship placement.
Starting your internship
You will be registered for INTE 513 for each reported work term. Please check your student centre to confirm registration. Fall and Winter registration must be complete prior to the add deadline in that semester. Start dates between May 1 and June 30 will be registered as Spring/Summer start registrations while start dates after July 1 will be registered as Fall start registrations.
Pay your fees
Internship course tuition will only be charged for the first three work terms of internship. If you choose to do a fourth work term, you will not be charged tuition, however you will still be required to pay supplemental fees. Fees are paid in the same way as regular tuition, by visiting Enrolment Services or online through your student centre.
Complete your work term record
Visit your CareerLink Schulich School of Engineering Overview page to complete your Work Term Record, found under the Internship Sequence Header, within two weeks of starting your internship.
