The Management and Society program is designed to expose students to the various aspects of the role of management in our institutions and society. It is intended to prepare graduates in other disciplines for practicing their skills in a business environment, but is not equivalent to the level of knowledge gained in the Bachelor of Commerce. In this minor, engineering students learn how to apply managerial skills in a business environment.
The Management and Society minor, in conjunction with my Software Engineering degree, has provided me with a holistic understanding of business dynamics. The unique blend of knowledge I gained from this minor equipped me with the skills to navigate the multifaceted challenges of the tech industry as a future startup founder or product manager.
